What art means to Alyssa:
Art to me is something that is created with my intuition and from the heart. Art is my way of sharing a story or a feeling. This my outlet for expression and therapy.
Alyssa's approach to art:
My approach is to take into consideration the meaning of the work and to know who my audience is. I create for both myself and the viewer so we can connect on an imaginary level.
Alyssa's approach to the Madam Paleta's bottle labels:
The inspiration for the Madam Paleta project was to depict a young, modern woman with a bold and confident personality. I wanted each illustration to show balance between playful and powerful. The woman in each piece shows these qualities in their facial expressions and body positioning. I chose colors and patterns that speak to me and my Mexican American culture.
